We Are One.

This campaign marked a meaningful category expansion for Roots: the introduction of a gender-free, inclusive-sized collection. The creative challenge was significant — how do you introduce a new category in a way that feels genuinely inclusive rather than performative? The answer was to resist the campaign impulse entirely and lean into documentary. Real people, real community bubbles, intimate portraits. Nothing staged that wasn't already there.

As Creative Director, I developed the concept and directed the on-set execution — building a visual language around candid, documentary-style portraits that let the diversity of the cast speak for itself without commentary or styling that called attention to it. The collection was positioned as a foundational elevated uniform: something that belongs to everyone because it was made for everyone.
